Where APEUni may fit

APEUni's official pages advertise PTE practice, speaking and writing AI scoring, mock exams and study tools such as vocabulary and shadowing. It may fit if you want those resources in a PTE-only product. Test its current free access before buying.

Where ScoreFluent may fit

ScoreFluent is for students who do not need more questions. They need to understand the ones they got wrong.

  • Automated scoring. Submit your recording to get a scored result and feedback.
  • Feedback names the trait and the word. Speaking is split into accuracy, fluency, prosody and content. Word-level feedback shows which word and which sound lost marks. Writing gets inline fixes on the exact sentences.
  • A tutor on every result. AI tutor Flo remembers your weak sounds and grammar gaps, then tells you what to do next. You get free messages every day.
  • Free learning. Lessons, flashcards with spoken review, vocabulary practice, a placement check and a study plan. There is also an in-app exam guide with notes for each task.
  • Seven exam families and eight profiles in one app. PTE, IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, TOEFL, LanguageCert, CELPIP, Cambridge C1 Advanced and MET.
  • Two different starting assessments. The free placement test samples skills for your chosen exam. The paid English Diagnostic is a longer four-skill assessment that recommends an exam and study plan.
  • Simple pricing. Reading and listening practice is free. Examiner reports cost credits (PTE speaking 8, essay 10). A full mock test is 40 credits. Credits never expire. Failed scoring is refunded.
  • Prompt-specific review. Pearson does not publish a separate template penalty. Our free template-risk checker flags repeated, generic language so you can rewrite it for the prompt.

Which should you pick?

  • Pick APEUni if its PTE practice, mock exams and study tools fit your routine.
  • Pick ScoreFluent if your score has stopped rising and you need to know why and what to do next.
  • Use both if you can. APEUni for exposure, ScoreFluent for feedback and coaching.

Sources and review method

Reviewed 14 October 2026. APEUni features were checked against its official homepage and official VIP feature guide. ScoreFluent details were checked in the live product code and against the scoring methodology. We did not find a current public APEUni price table, so the comparison does not quote a price or claim a bank-size ranking. ScoreFluent wrote this comparison, so treat its judgements as the view of one provider.
