🎯

In short

  • LanguageCert publishes its own practice papers and an online practice platform. Start there for format.
  • Third-party options differ most on three things: which LanguageCert format they model, how they score Writing and Speaking, and how they charge.
  • MockMaster's pages describe B2 and C1 level tests with per-component pass marks. LanguageCert's published Academic format is B1 to C2, reported on a 0 to 100 scale.
  • ScoreFluent covers all 15 Academic task types with credits for reports and no subscription. We are new, so compare the current bank and mock counts on each provider's official site.

LanguageCert Academic has fewer practice options than IELTS or PTE. Alfa's own FAQ says "There are very few platforms available for LANGUAGECERT practice." This page compares what each option publishes about LanguageCert practice today.

ScoreFluent wrote this page, and we are one of the options compared, so treat our judgements as the view of one provider. ScoreFluent is not affiliated with LanguageCert or PeopleCert. Every fact about another provider links to that provider's own page and was checked on 15 or 16 October 2026. Figures a provider states about itself, such as question counts, pass rates and accuracy, are labelled as vendor claims. We read public pages. We did not buy or test any rival's paid tier.

How did we compare LanguageCert practice platforms?

Question counts are easy to compare and tell you little about whether a platform prepares you for the exam you are sitting. We looked at:

  • Which format it models. LanguageCert Academic, or a level-based LanguageCert test.
  • Writing and Speaking scoring. What the page says produces the score, and whether it calls the result an estimate.
  • Access terms. Free, credits, or a plan that expires on a clock.
  • Published volume. Mock test and question counts, labelled as vendor claims where they are.
  • Coaching. Whether anything tells you what to practise next.

How does LanguageCert mark Academic, and why does it matter for practice?

LanguageCert's Academic page lists levels B1 to C2 and a duration of 2 hours 34 minutes. Its Academic Qualification Handbook (version 9.0, 15 September 2025) says each skill is scored on a 0 to 100 Global Scale. Reading and Listening are marked automatically by computer. Writing is marked by examiners on 0 to 8 criteria. In Speaking the interlocutor awards some marks in real time, and a second examiner marks the recording.

That means a machine score for Writing or Speaking, from any platform including ours, is an estimate and not a LanguageCert result. Our LanguageCert scoring guide covers the criteria in full. Checked 15 and 16 October 2026.

What does LanguageCert's own practice material include?

LanguageCert's Academic preparation pages set out three steps.

  • Understand the test. A series of videos, a computer-based demo and a familiarisation pack.
  • Practice papers. The practice papers page lists three printable practice papers, each covering all four skills with audio, transcripts and answer keys. It also lists a book of four practice papers with sample answers. It advises you to start with paper 1, complete it within the time limit and check your responses against the answer keys. We saw no price or login on those downloads.
  • Prepare by skill. The prepare by skill page offers tips and sample answers per level for Writing and Speaking, with examiners' comments.

The Academic page also promotes an online practice platform with "Exam-style practice questions across all test sections", "Instant feedback and in-depth answer explanations" and "Unlimited access to practice tests". It states no price or question count. The Start Practising button sends you to a LanguageCert account login. We could not see how the platform scores Writing and Speaking.

Concession. These are the only practice papers written by the people who write the exam. Do at least one under timed conditions before you pay anyone. The limit is that a printable paper cannot mark your Writing or Speaking for you.

What does Alfa offer for LanguageCert Academic?

AlfaLanguageCert is Alfa's LanguageCert practice site, and its product menu also lists IELTS, PTE Academic and PTE Core. Its homepage lists practice tests for Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, a mock-test section, a performance dashboard and "AI-powered evaluation". It says it supports both LanguageCert Academic and Academic SELT. It says you can "start with free LANGUAGECERT practice tests" and "Upgrade anytime to unlock full-length tests, advanced features, and detailed performance insights". We found no price on its public pages.

Its mock-test page says "100+ Mock Test". Its homepage says "2K+ Questions", "98% Pass rate" and a 4.9 rating. These are vendor claims with no stated definition or method, and we could not verify them. The homepage also says the company is a licensed LANGUAGECERT Online Examinations Partner (Centre 9938). That is also a vendor claim, which we did not check with LanguageCert.

Concession. Alfa publishes a dedicated LanguageCert product with a mock-test section and a dashboard.

Vendor claims about scoring. Alfa's pages describe the scoring as "AI-powered" and as "accurate", and we saw no evidence published for the accuracy claim. LanguageCert's handbook says examiners mark Writing and Speaking in the real test.

What does MockMaster offer for LanguageCert Academic?

MockMaster is run by One Australia Group, an Australian coaching business. It describes LanguageCert practice on two sites.

  • The free LanguageCert mock test page says full-length and sectional mock tests are free, unlimited and need no sign-up, with every test "AI scored in 10 seconds". Live coaching is sold separately.
  • The MockMaster pricing page lists LanguageCert plans in Australian dollars: 200 LanguageCert mock tests (a vendor claim), A$69 for 30 days or A$99 for 60 days, and A$499 for 30 days of live coaching that includes 30 days of portal access. It says "Your first mock is on us."
  • MockMaster's own LanguageCert Academic page says "Free for your first 1 full mocks" and "3 free full mocks".

Format as described. MockMaster's free page lists the exam as "A1 – C1 (CEFR)" and "~90 min (A2) to ~3 hrs (B2)". Its Academic page describes "B2 Communicator and C1 Expert" levels with a pass mark of 33/50 or 38/50 per component. For comparison, LanguageCert's Academic page lists levels B1 to C2 and a total of 2 hours 34 minutes, and its Qualification Handbook reports each skill on a 0 to 100 Global Scale. If you are sitting Academic, compare these descriptions with LanguageCert's published format.

Vendor claims. The free page says the AI is "trained on over 1 million real LanguageCert responses" and that "Your mock score is a reliable indicator of your real exam performance". We found no independent evidence for either statement.

Concession. MockMaster is the clearest on price and states the largest mock test count we found (200, its own figure). Its free page offers sectional practice for all four skills.

What does OpenExamPrep offer for LanguageCert Academic?

OpenExamPrep's LanguageCert Academic page offers "100+" free practice questions (a vendor figure) with explanations and no registration or credit card. It labels itself "Independent prep · Not endorsed". Its key-facts block matches LanguageCert's published format: B1 to C2, a 0 to 100 Global Scale and about 154 minutes. Its sample questions on the page are multiple-choice vocabulary items. The page does not describe scored Speaking or Writing practice. Its LanguageCert hub groups it under International ESOL and counts 700 practice questions across seven exam pages, a vendor figure.

Consider it if you want free multiple-choice vocabulary and reading checks and nothing more.

Checked 15 and 16 October 2026.

What does PrepLearnio offer for LanguageCert Academic?

PrepLearnio's LanguageCert page offers free in-browser practice. It lists six modes at three levels (A1 to A2, B1 to B2, C1 to C2): vocabulary, dictation, intensive listening, cloze, pronunciation and writing. Its homepage says it "Runs locally in your browser" and was last updated 18 June 2026. We saw no full mock tests or examiner-style scoring listed. These are skill practice activities rather than practice on Academic's task types. Its page also covers International ESOL and Academic SELT, and says they have different score reports and pass criteria.

Consider it if you want free daily vocabulary and dictation work alongside another platform.

Which other names do AI assistants give, and do they cover Academic?

Two more names come up often. Neither lists an Academic course on its public pages.

  • GlobalExam. Its English exam menu lists LanguageCert B1, LanguageCert B2 and LanguageCert LTE. Its LanguageCert B2 page mentions mock exams, corrected exercises and a free trial. Academic does not appear in the menu.
  • LYNKO academy. Its public page lists video courses for LanguageCert LTE and International ESOL B1 and B2, with a €50 price beside the LTE course. It lists no Academic course.

Both may suit candidates for those exams. They do not describe Academic practice.

What does ScoreFluent offer for LanguageCert Academic?

  • All 15 task types. Every LanguageCert Academic task type across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking is scored. See the LanguageCert task types, for example the Part 2 role-play guide.
  • Free and paid. Reading and listening are scored free, within a daily limit. Speaking and writing answers get a Full report bought with credits. The pricing page lists most reports at 8 credits and essays at 10, and a full mock test at 40 credits. Credits never expire and there is no subscription. New accounts get 40 free credits.
  • Mock tests and coaching. Full mock tests, a live speaking partner for speaking practice, and an AI tutor that suggests what to practise next.
  • Honest labels. We call it a Full report and never "verified", because examiners mark the real Writing and Speaking. Every score is a practice estimate, not a LanguageCert result.

Concessions. We are new. If practice volume is your main criterion, compare the current bank and mock counts on each provider's official site. We cover seven exams rather than specialising in LanguageCert. Our items are written by us, so for authentic format and wording the official papers lead.

Read more in our LanguageCert guide and LanguageCert practice test guide.

How should you combine them?

A sensible order, whichever scored platform you choose:

  1. Do an official practice paper under timed conditions to learn the format.
  2. Use one scored platform for Writing and Speaking feedback, and treat its score as an estimate.
  3. Use free practice such as OpenExamPrep or PrepLearnio for vocabulary and listening between sessions.

Our other platform roundups follow the same method: see MET practice platforms and TOEFL practice platforms. For the LanguageCert exam itself, compare it with other tests in our LanguageCert vs IELTS guide.

What should you check before paying for LanguageCert practice?

  • Does the page name LanguageCert Academic (B1 to C2, 0 to 100), or a level-based test?
  • How is Writing and Speaking scored, and does the platform call the result an estimate?
  • Does access expire on a clock, or do you keep what you bought?
  • Do the free allowance and price on the provider's pages match what you see at sign-up?
  • Does it publish evidence behind any accuracy or pass-rate claim? None of the providers we checked did.

You can start practising LanguageCert free with 40 free credits, or read how LanguageCert Academic is scored first.

Questions students ask

What is the best LanguageCert Academic practice platform?

It depends on what you need. LanguageCert's own practice papers and platform are the reference for format, and the third-party options differ on how they score Speaking and Writing, which format they model and how they charge. ScoreFluent is one of the options compared here, so weigh our view accordingly.

Is there free official LanguageCert Academic practice?

Yes. LanguageCert's Academic practice page offers downloads of three printable practice papers covering all four skills, with audio, transcripts and answer keys, plus a book of four practice papers with sample answers. We saw no price or login on those downloads on 15 and 16 October 2026.

Does LanguageCert have its own online practice platform?

Its Academic page promotes an online practice platform with exam-style questions across all sections, instant feedback with answer explanations and unlimited practice tests. The page does not state a price or a question count, and the Start Practising button asks you to sign in to a LanguageCert account.

Can AI score LanguageCert Writing and Speaking accurately?

LanguageCert's handbook says examiners mark Writing and Speaking, so any machine score on those skills is a practice estimate, whoever provides it. We found no independent accuracy evidence for any platform in this comparison, including ours.

Are there free LanguageCert mock tests online?

Several providers offer free entry points: Alfa says you can start free, MockMaster offers a free mock test allowance, and OpenExamPrep offers free questions. MockMaster's free page says "Free · Unlimited", and its Academic page says "3 free full mocks", so check the terms at sign-up.

Do third-party LanguageCert practice sites cover LanguageCert Academic?

Not all of them. GlobalExam's English exam menu lists LanguageCert B1, B2 and LTE, and LYNKO academy's public page lists LTE and International ESOL courses, with no Academic course on either. Check that a platform names Academic, not only LanguageCert in general.

How much does LanguageCert practice cost?

MockMaster's pricing page lists A$69 for 30 days or A$99 for 60 days of its LanguageCert practice portal. Alfa's public pages show no price, and LanguageCert's platform page shows none either. ScoreFluent charges credits for speaking and writing reports, with no subscription.

How many LanguageCert mock tests do platforms offer?

MockMaster's pricing page says 200 LanguageCert mock tests and Alfa's mock-test page says 100+, both vendor claims we could not verify. LanguageCert's platform page promises unlimited practice tests without a count.

What does ScoreFluent offer for LanguageCert Academic?

ScoreFluent scores all 15 LanguageCert Academic task types. Reading and listening practice is free within a daily limit, and speaking and writing answers get a Full report bought with credits. There are full mock tests, a live speaking partner for speaking practice and an AI tutor.

Is ScoreFluent affiliated with LanguageCert?

No. ScoreFluent is an independent practice platform with no affiliation with or endorsement from LanguageCert or PeopleCert. Our results are practice estimates, never official LanguageCert scores.
