In short
- E2 Language sells teacher-led prep: live classes, tutorials and expert-marked assessments, mainly for IELTS, PTE, OET and CELPIP.
- ScoreFluent is self-study with automated feedback and an AI tutor, across seven exam families.
- E2 sells packages with access for a set number of days and a conditional score guarantee. ScoreFluent credits never expire and it has no guarantee.
- You can use both.
E2 Language (its site also calls it E2 Test Prep) and ScoreFluent both prepare you for English exams, but they are built differently. This comparison is written by the ScoreFluent team. We describe E2 from its own pages, say where it is the better fit, and mark E2's figures as E2's claims.
What is the difference between E2 Language and ScoreFluent?
E2 puts teachers at the centre. Its homepage lists live classes, 45-minute private tutorials, practice exams marked by teachers and a self-study platform. ScoreFluent has no teachers. It marks each speaking and writing answer automatically and shows the feedback straight away.

Which exams does E2 Language cover?
The course menu on E2's homepage lists IELTS General and Academic, PTE Academic and PTE Core, OET Nurses, OET Doctors and OET Pharmacy, CELPIP General and CELPIP General LS, plus Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced English and a Pronunciation course. E2 also has a GRE page that is not in its main menu.
The menu did not list TOEFL, LanguageCert, MET or Cambridge C1 Advanced, and E2's page sitemap lists no TOEFL page. E2's free trial blog post mentions a TOEFL course, so check with E2 if you need one.
ScoreFluent covers the other direction. It includes TOEFL iBT, LanguageCert Academic, C1 Advanced and MET, but not OET or PTE Core. If you are weighing exams, our exam chooser compares formats and recognition from official sources. Checked 15 and 16 October 2026.
How does E2 Language teach, and how does ScoreFluent compare?
On E2's PTE Academic page, a package can include:
- Live classes. Taught by E2's teachers, with a recorded library. Express and Express+ list 25 live classes. Bronze, Silver and Gold list unlimited classes.
- Tutorials. One-to-one, 45 minutes. Bronze lists one, Silver two and Gold three.
- Assessments. Writing and speaking assessments marked against the exam criteria. Bronze lists 3 writing and 4 speaking, Silver 6 and 8, Gold 9 and 12.
- Mock tests. Included from Express+. E2 says they are timed and scored like the real test, with feedback on each task.
- Self-study material. Method lessons, practice questions and a grammar video library.
E2's IELTS Academic page lists a similar structure. Its assessment tooltips say Bronze writing is "instant detailed AI-graded evaluation", Silver and Gold writing is marked by tutors within 48 hours, and IELTS Speaking feedback comes from teachers within 48 hours. See the IELTS Academic page.
ScoreFluent works the other way round. You record or type an answer and get a scored result straight away. Speaking is split into accuracy, fluency, prosody and content, and on supported tasks you can tap a word to see scores for its sounds. Writing gets corrections on the exact sentences. AI tutor Flo uses your history to suggest what to practise next. Read how it works in our scoring methodology.
Our scores are practice estimates, not official results. IELTS and CELPIP speaking estimates are provisional, so read the band as a rough pointer and put more weight on the feedback. Checked 15 and 16 October 2026.
How much does E2 Language cost compared with ScoreFluent?
E2's PTE Academic page listed these packages on 16 October 2026. Prices were shown in USD including GST, which E2's page explains is an Australian tax.
| Package | Price (USD, incl. GST) | Access | Marked assessments (writing / speaking) | Tutorials |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Express | 75.90 | 90 days | None | None |
| Express+ | 97.90 | 90 days | None (adds a mock test) | None |
| Bronze | 185.90 | 180 days | 3 / 4 | 1 |
| Silver | 273.90 | 270 days | 6 / 8 | 2 |
| Gold | 394.90 | 365 days | 9 / 12 | 3 |
E2's IELTS Academic packages carry the same prices and access lengths, with different assessment counts. A site-wide banner offered 25% off with a code when we looked, and we quote list prices. Currency and tax can differ by region, so check the table in your own view.
ScoreFluent is priced by use, not by time. Reading and listening practice is free with a daily limit. Each speaking or writing answer can get an examiner report, which costs credits (most reports cost 8 credits, an essay 10) and a full mock test costs 40 credits. New accounts get 40 free credits. Packs start at $7.99 for 100 credits, credits never expire and there is no subscription. See the pricing page for current packs in your currency.
The two models answer different needs. A package makes sense if you want a fixed course with teachers over a few months. Credits make sense if you want to pay only for the answers you submit. Checked 15 and 16 October 2026.
Does E2 Language have a score guarantee, and does ScoreFluent?
E2's PTE and IELTS pages describe a money-back score guarantee for Bronze, Silver and Gold packages. The policy, last updated 30 September 2026, says you must:
- give your baseline exam scores and official proof of both your earlier and your later result
- complete 100% of the package inclusions before your latest official test, including all mock tests, assessments and tutorials
- request the refund within 30 days of that test
E2's policy also says refund decisions are at E2's sole discretion. Read it fully before you choose a package for the guarantee.
ScoreFluent offers no score guarantee. Our practice scores are estimates, and we do not forecast your result. If scoring fails, your credits are refunded automatically. Checked 15 and 16 October 2026.
Where is E2 Language the better choice?
- You want teachers. Live classes, recordings and tutorials are core to E2 and not part of ScoreFluent.
- You are taking OET or PTE Core. ScoreFluent does not cover either.
- You want a refund route. E2 publishes a conditional guarantee, with the conditions above.
- You want a fixed study path. E2 describes a study pathway of lessons, activities and mock tests.
E2's homepage says it has prepared "over 2,722,270 students and counting" and that its practice questions are "designed by ex-examiners". Those are E2's own claims, and we have not verified them. Pearson's page on E2Language, dated 16 July 2021, says E2 offers good quality practice services and materials for PTE Academic.
Where might ScoreFluent fit better?
- Instant, specific feedback. Every speaking and writing answer is scored on the spot. You do not wait for a teacher.
- More exam families. TOEFL iBT, LanguageCert Academic, C1 Advanced and MET sit alongside PTE, IELTS and CELPIP, so you can try more than one exam before you book one.
- Pay per answer. No subscription, no clock on your credits, and a free tier for reading and listening.
- A tutor that remembers. Flo uses your practice history to plan the next practice.
- Browser-based. ScoreFluent is web only, with no app-store apps.
We are newer than E2, and we have no live classes. If a teacher in the room matters most to you, that is a real gap.
Which should you pick?
- Pick E2 Language if you want teacher-led classes and tutorials, or you are preparing for OET or PTE Core.
- Pick ScoreFluent if you want automated feedback on every answer and the option to compare several exams.
- Use both if you can. E2 for classes and teacher feedback, ScoreFluent for daily practice.
You can start practising free with 40 free credits. For PTE specifically, see our comparison of PTE practice platforms or ScoreFluent vs PTE Magic. For TOEFL and IELTS, see ScoreFluent vs Magoosh. You can also explore the PTE, IELTS and CELPIP guides, including PTE speaking and IELTS speaking.

Reviewed 15 and 16 October 2026. E2 facts came from E2's own pages: the homepage, PTE Academic, IELTS Academic, score guarantee policy, GRE page and trial blog post, plus Pearson's E2Language article. We re-fetched the homepage, PTE and IELTS pages on 16 October and found no changes from 15 October. Figures such as student counts and ex-examiner design are E2's own claims.
ScoreFluent details come from the live pricing page and the scoring methodology. ScoreFluent wrote this comparison and is not affiliated with E2 Language, Pearson or any exam owner, so treat its judgements as the view of one provider.
